Realme 6i runs on ColorOS 7 interface, supports 2 SIMs and has a 5,000mAh battery. The device measures 164.4mm x 75.4mm x 9.0mm and weighs 195g.

After launching Realme C3, the first smartphone to use Helio G70 chip, Realme continues to launch the Realme 6 Pro, the first device in the world to use Snapdragon 720G chip. It is possible that the next product will be Realme 6i, the first smartphone equipped with Helio G80 processor.

Information about the Realme 6i first appeared in January 2020 when the smartphone was certified by IMDA Singapore. More than 1 month later, Realme 6i continues to get FCC certification and the first design details have surfaced.

Last month, MediaTek launched the Helio G80 as its latest gaming and graphics focussed octa-core SoC with HyperEngine technology. The chip includes two Cortex-A75 cores with a maximum clock speed of 2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. It also supports up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC5.1 storage.

We already know the Helio G70 is a better processor than the Snapdragon 665 thanks to this comparison video made by MediaTek. However, the Helio G80 will not be a better chipset overall than the Helio G70 and this is because it has fewer performance cores. Below is the CPU configuration of the two chipsets:

Helio G80 = 2x Cortex-A75 at 2.0GHz + 6x Cortex-A55 at 1.8GHz
Helio G70 = 4x Cortex-A75 at 2.0GHz + 4x Cortex-A55 at 1.7GHz

The Facebook page also confirms 18W Quick Charge support on the Realme 6i that is touted to deliver 38 percent faster charging results than the standard 10W charging technology. The phone will also have a USB Type-C port — an upgrade over the Micro-USB port available on the Realme 5i. Further, another teaser posted on the social media site shows a quad rear camera setup on the Realme 6i with a 48-megapixel primary sensor.
